This saga begins with the story that was told to me by Dan Stuczynski
who is currently living in Detriot, Michigan and works as a Design Engineer
for the Ford Motor Company. I found Dan through his wife whose name was listed
on the Internet.
In the beginning
The story starts at the end of the 13th century, about 1250 to
1270 A.D. when warriors from the Stuczynski clan joined forces to fight in
the Holy Wars or Crusades. Upon returning from the Wars, the few Stuczynskis
that survived, were granted a large parcel of land in Northeastern Poland
(near the Russian border) known as "Stuczyn". Then Clan nobles managed this
land and its people for hundreds of years.
The Story continues
This story continues with the information told to me by Marek
Stuczynski who is currently living in Poznan, Poland and has a Phd in plant
genetics. Marek found me surfing the Web and that's how this whole thing
started.
All was fine in the Stuczynski clan until sometime in the 19th century
(1800's A.D.), when the Czar of Russia's armies invaded Poland and the family
lost their land. Most of the Stuczynskis were exiled to Siberia. Others managed
to escape to western Poland from which point they dispersed worldwide.
